Mid-Term Break has come and gone. The students all left
campus for a 5 day weekend to spend time with their families or their guardians
here in Kenya.
We were given 4 days off As there were professional development seminars on Friday so
staff could keep up with their required educational needs.
We spent some of the time just resting and recuperating from
the mad dash that was the first half of the first term. We did manage to take a
trip t Lake Naivasha
and explore Crescent
Island. We were able to
go hiking for about 3 hours. It was no ordinary hike ( and to this day Julia
states it was not a hike!) there was wild life to be seen everywhere:
Giraffes
wildebeest
zebras (Julia’s favorites)
water
buffalo,
Impalas
And the list goes on and on. There are
boats that will take you to hippo point but we decided to hold that for another
day, maybe when Lizzy is here to visit.
